Ang Mabait na Duwende (The Kind Dwarf) is a self-portrait clay sculpture by the artist portraying himself as a “duwende” (elves in Filipino mythology). This sculpture was created for the Art Gallery of York University’s exhibition, Gudskul : Knowledge Garden Festival (2021), with a concept that focuses on artistic growth and the exploration on “how can the ‘seeds’ an artist plants help foster positive growth of community, resources, and positively contribute to our shared future.”
